A Chinese railway contractor has been confirmed killed and two of his associates seriously injured after unknown gun men attacked them in Atakar village, Riyom local government area of Plateau State.
The injured are currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital .
Spokesman for the Special Task Force (STF) Captain Salisu Mustapha confirmed the attack, but said that his two associates were taken to the hospital alive.
Mustapha said "the victims were attacked at the weekend in a village bordering Plateau and Kaduna States.
Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Chris Olakpe Sunday also confirmed the death of one of the Chinese contractors to BBC Hausa service, adding that the attackers injured a police officer, who was escorting the foreigners and confiscated his gun.
