ASK RITABLAZE: Our Love Resembles War After We Have Entered Blood Covenant Relationship

There's a thin line separating love and hate; that's why all relationships are about finding balance and respecting each other. Our reader has sent her story to info@ritiblaze@gmail.com, telling us how she and her boyfriend have, unknowingly, stepped on a path of war. Read her story and share your own piece of advice!
I have been in a relationship for almost two years now. Our parents were against our union. His wouldn't approve of me because of my poor background (however, after some time, they had to put up with me); mine would say my boyfriend wasn't able to take care of me properly.
But, as we loved each other dearly, we decided to engage in a blood covenant relationship. Little did we know what an awful decision it would be. We had to end it because it really was driving us to our graves. We would quarrel very often, it really has been like a battlefield, and he has been unfaithful to me. He would tell me stories of the girls he met while travelling. He shows me no respect. At one point, I got fed up with all these things and must have offended him with my words, because he really tried to kill me if not for God's mercy! I made it known to him that I could never marry a man like him, never in my life!
Still, there are moments of joy and happiness in our relationship, but I don't know what to do anymore. It really feels like we're at war. I need your advice as to what we should do.
