JUNGLE JUSTICE: Angry Youths Set Two Men On Fire For Stealing Cows

Two suspected cow thieves were set ablaze by some angry youths in Ibusa community near Asaba, Delta State, on Tuesday.
The two men who were identified as Chuks Ibeh and Samson Agoro were arrested by members of a vigilante group from Asaba in the bush while trying to ferry the cows away in a pick-up van with registration number AA 165 XL.

Upon interrogation, the suspects confessed that they were frequent visitors to Ibusa community bush, especially the areas where the herdsmen assemble their cattle for feeding. The men who claimed to be from Onitsha said they were introduced into stealing by their peers.
After they were arrested, angry youths surrounded the men, thoroughly beat them up before pouring a substance suspected to be kerosene on them and set them ablaze.
Chairman of the vigilante group, Nnamdi Chikwendu, who confirmed the incident used the opportunity to appeal to residents of Ibusa, Asaba and other neighbouring communities to support the group to enable it achieve its goal of ridding the communities of criminals.
