APC Crisis: 8 Senators, Police Orderly Escape Death In Bloody Shootout

The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ogun State witnessed a terrible scene when terror was unleashed by some unidentified armed men during a political gathering yesterday.

The armed men reportedly attacked the supporters of  Senator Gbenga Obadara, who represent  Ogun Central senatorial district; and Kunle Adeyemi, a member of the House of Representatives, representing Ifo/Ewekoro constituency.

The Attack took place at 1:38 pm in Wasimi, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The heavily armed thugs, arrived the venue of the meeting, which was convened by Obadara to sensitize the people in the area about the forthcoming membership registeration of the APC, and barricaded the area awaiting the arrival of the senator and his supporters.
On arrival, the senator was warned not to go into the venue. attempts of the senator to go against their warnings resulted in them opening fire on him and his supporters.
Eight members of the party and a police orderly, Sergeant Sunday Akinbode, were hit by the gunshots.
Several other people were also injured in the attack.
The victims were rushed to medical centers in the area for treatment.
